St. Mary's Kids is a children’s home taking root in Delray Beach, Florida — a refuge where children are safe, known by name, and cared for alongside their brothers and sisters while the county determines what comes next.
Our mission
St. Mary's Kids exists to care for children who need somewhere safe to be — a refuge for as long as they need one, while decisions about their future are made.
We believe a child is not a case to be managed but a person to be known. Whether a child is with us for a week or a season, our care is built around stability: the same faces every morning, brothers and sisters who stay together, a bedroom that is theirs, and a parish family that shows up.
We work alongside the county and the agencies responsible for each child’s case. Where reunification is the goal, we support it.

What we are building
What every child in our care will have
Brothers and sisters, together
Sibling groups are routinely split across separate placements. We are building to take them together, so children do not lose each other on top of everything else.
A house, not a facility
A kitchen table, chores, birthdays, and the same caregivers every morning — the ordinary rhythms of a household, for as long as a child is with us.
Faith and formation
Life in the Church — prayer, the sacraments, feasts, and Sunday school — offered freely and never as a condition of care.
School and what comes next
Steady schooling and tutoring while a child is with us, so that a change in placement does not mean falling behind.
Our commitment
When brothers and sisters come to us, they stay together.
Placements that can take a whole sibling group are scarce. We intend to be one of them.

We are at the beginning. Every hand, every hour, and every prayer offered now shapes what this home becomes.
Pray
The first and largest part of this work. Pray for the children who will come to us, and for the people preparing the way.
Volunteer
We need caregivers, tutors, tradespeople, drivers, cooks, and administrators. Tell us what you can offer and we will find a place for it.
